Mental Capacity Act – Making More Complex Decisions
This module will support practitioners that are required to make more formal assessments of capacity, for example, where an individual is going to live.
Three themes run through this module. The first theme is about the types of decision that require a formal recorded assessment; the second theme is about how to assess a person’s capacity to make a decision and the third theme is what should be done if there is a disagreement relating to the capacity assessment outcome.
Module 4 of The Mental Capacity Act suite from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).
