This module is aimed at staff that are required to make more complex decisions, for example, care managers, social workers, medical staff and senior care staff.

The module examines more complex decisions that have the greatest significance or consequences for a person who may lack capacity. It explores how you begin to work out a person’s best interests in a practical context and the limits and challenges associated with best interest decision making.

Module 5 of The Mental Capacity Act suite from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).
