Are you looking for information for family, friends, or carers?

Please visit our dedicated family, friends, and carers webpage if you are concerned about the safety or wellbeing of an adult with care and support needs, or if you would just like to know more about adult safeguarding and the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board.

Welcome to our blog: new for 2026!

If there's one thing we learned from 2025, it's that we've got a lot to say. So this year, we're doing things a little differently.

You might have noticed that throughout 2025 we circulated a number of special edition newsletters, exploring key safeguarding topics and featuring subject experts from across our partnership. We know that these newsletters are a really popular source of information, but can get buried at the bottom of your inbox beneath the meeting invites, Intranet digests, and the neverending emails.

So, with all that said, we're introducing our new West Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board blog; a home for all of those thematic explorations and discussions on adult safeguarding policy, learning, and research.

We hope that you'll make checking our blog part of your routine, with a frequency somewhere between flipping your mattress and changing your socks (a broad target, hopefully). But don't worry if you forget; we'll be sure to let you know of any new blog posts in our weekly bulletins.

Thanks for visiting our blog; we're happy to have you here.
