Disclaimer

Some of the newsletters below  include reference to our Safeguarding Adults Review in respect of Tom (2024). Please note that in November 2025 the convictions for holding a person in slavery and servitude were deemed unsafe and quashed. The convictions for ill-treatment and actual bodily harm remain, and a retrial in respect of the quashed offences was refused (Webb & Somerset-How v R: Personal Autonomy, Servitude and the Single Offence of ‘Holding in Slavery’ under the Modern Slavery Act 2015).
